Thank you Kearsey. That's what I was afraid of. I've been applying everywhere to no avail. Would it be any different if I did a lease or lease purchase?

Nope. It's an insurance and liability issue. Even if you bought a truck and ran under your own authority, getting insurance to cover you would be either difficult or extremely costly.
