All the Truck Drivers who blow your horns

We, the teachers at Spring Garden Child Care, just want to express the sheer joy and excitement you bring children when you blow your horn for them. It is the talk the yard all morning and all afternoon when you blow

The children talk about:

What you have in your trucks They associate your trucks as DRY or LIQUID (Round trailers) They talk about where you are going and where you have been How many wheels you have And how loud your horn is

I've gotten the arm pump three times. First was a boy maybe about 8 or 9, on the first day I drove in road training. Second was a group of four teens. Third was a shirtless grown man. They're getting older with each pump! hah

There's a couple of girls in my neighborhood that have to stand at the end of the road for the school bus. They're about 8-9 years old. We have a lot of oil fracking going on in my area so any time one of the sand trucks goes by they arm pump. When the trucker obliges the little girls go wild, they love it.

I love the arm pump/air horn thing.

However, I do try to be judicious in my use of it because I don’t want to startle motorists near me. And I think it’s prohibited by law in some places.

But giving little kids a cheap thrill is priceless.
