Hi guys I am a fellow trucker here in Atlanta Georgia. I was recently let go from my trucking company for a non-preventable not at fault accident. I have only 7 months experience. The company let me go because I was only working for them 2 weeks before I had the accident. Now I'm having a hard time finding another trucking job due to this company firing me for a non-preventable. I have tried western, werner and c.r England. Any ideas who will take me. I dnt want to be homeless. Plz help

Carlos, try my company, JS Helwig & Son. Terrell, Tx

They are hiring OTR reefer drivers with minimum of 6 months experience and are an excellent company to drive for. Ask to speak with Brandy in recruiting. Good luck!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

The companies you mentioned, did you speak with a recruiter? Did they tell you they couldn't hire you bc of the non preventable? Or did they refuse to hire you solely based on the fact you were terminated from your previous company? All these little details are important.

Were the police involved? Did they write a report that says you were not at fault? The police report may help you make your case when applying. The company I work for now asked me to provide a police report of a non preventable I was involved in. Bc I was able to get a copy of the police report and send it to them I was hired.
