if I got a DUI in the state of Arkansas could I move to Alabama and be a tow truck driver getting my license there even though I did have the DUI in Arkansas?

Hi Tamra.

I believe the DUI will follow you around wherever you go. However, companies do hire drivers with a DUI but the policies vary according to the individual company. Is the DUI recent? The more recent, the greater the difficulty getting hired with that on your record.

Also, no matter what state you go to, you are obligated to disclose the DUI to any company you apply to work for. It’s a matter of record so don’t try to hide it because that will only make matters worse.

In this day and age of computers, that DUI WILL follow you, no matter what state you move to lol....A simple records check, by any hiring company, WILL see the Ark. DWI/DUI citation....
