I did my paid CDL training with Prime because Prime was the only company out of 11 applications that gave me the chance. Fortunately Prime was my first choice company anyway.
I Had a 12 months obligation to drive for Prime to “pay” for the training cost. I’m still driving for Prime after 2 years.
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
Same. May 6th makes 3 years with Prime. Never even thought about another company after day 1.

I agree with what was said above. The name on the door really doesn't matter. I applied using the app from this site and went with a company I'd never heard of...and I'm happy where I'm at.
