Getting Pulled Up A Hill By A Bulldozer

I took a little video showing one of the common ways of getting around on the right-of-way... being dragged up the hills by a dozer! Hook up, hang on and DON'T brake check the operator. His toys are always bigger than your toys!

Hey that's really cool! I did my share of dump truck driving and I've been hooked to dozers plenty of times myself. It sure is relaxing! You just kick back and let that dozer do the work. Most of the time I was being pulled it was through mud, not up a steep incline like that.

That's some great stuff Flatwater! Most of the OTR drivers here don't have a clue about some of the stuff you get into on a daily basis. I always love hearing about your job, but seeing it is even better. Thanks for the post.

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I am enjoying learning about the adventures of the trucking industry.

It reminds me of the Navy slogan, "It's not just a job, it's an adventure!"

Thanks for posting.

Only thing it says for me is its an unsupported media which tells me it's either taken with an WAY older phone or maybe an iphone.

I had to click on the little photobucket icon which brought me to your photobucket site to view this properly. Along with the video you have some great shots of the beautiful country you are working in. I find this sort of trucking very appealing. First things first so I better get back on the High road test site. Thank you!

That is pretty cool! Once you were up there and did what you were supposed to do, did you need assistance going back down or were you able to go down unassisted?
