Great job. I remember my first you down the. It's quite intimidating. New York isn't all THAT bad though. I find Boston is a bigger pain in the arse. At least most of New York is in a grid. Boston is just a jumbled mess. But man I love the northeast! Is there a more stressful place to drive

Tell you what, you can have my share of the Northeast any day of the week & twice on Sunday.

Ernie

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I have driven in the NE lots of times. I just would rather drive in other parts of the country than to put up with all the unpleasantness up there. Like narrow roads made for goats (just kidding), no parking, lots of very rude people, and the list goes on.

GWB / NJ Turnpike combo during weekday afternoon traffic satisfied all my NYC curiosity .

I did drive LA @ 530pm on weekday traffic pulling the dreaded Coil . I am convinced the team mate/trainer planned the whole thing. It was an enormous relief finally getting east of that mess and being on open road interstate .

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Like today on I10. OMFG people returning home from Florida to Louisiana and Texas. You think the GW Bridge is bad on a Friday evening rush hour on a holiday weekend... Well so did I until today. I-10 was a complete mad house.

I have driven through that corridor from Texas to GA in my personal vehicle and I hope I never have to drive it OTR.

My full respect for you on that corridor. Ugh.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I-15 from Las Vegas to Cali on Sunday of the holiday weekend was horrible.
