Trucking Truth has got to be the best site for truckers that I've seen. And I've seen many.

The variety of expertise and experience levels, the help and advice that everyone is willing to give, and the training and informative materials that are available are second to none. Thanks to Brett for putting together a site for truckers that is actually worth visiting on a daily basis. I plan on alot more posts and alot more visits.

On another note....its official. I start CDL school on October 20th and if all goes as planned I will graduate on January 5th 2015. Been a loooooong time comin.

CDL:

  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.

Congrats Jimbo! I have to say hats off to you in starting n October and living in Grand Island NY. My ex is from a a small town outside of Buffalo and his parents used to leave for Florida by the first week of October, because as they always said 'you never know when it may begin to snow!" smile.gif You will get great winter driving experience finishing in January. Funny you mention that Jolie.....we're used to driving in the snow in Buffalo but that's on four wheels. Figured it may be a bad time to be outside alot but getting some instruction on driving a rig in the snow is something I definitely wanted to have. (watch...we'll have a repeat of two years ago and have 65 degrees on Christmas...lol)

I actually found this site first and was surprised how helpful it was. I ventured out for more opinions and found truckers report and their prime section is pretty helpful... I looked in some of their other sections and it's pretty scary. 99% negative and a lot of junk to weed through lol.
