Good luck with getting in with them! I don't know a whole lot about them expect I know how to move their little pup trailers now. We use them to ship to some of our outer lying stores and I've had to move some of their trailers around. Kind of a pain with our tractors because you have to slide the fifth wheel all the way back and remove the mudguards so they don't get bent. That's the extent of my knowledge with them though. I hope you find what you're looking for.
Jump up to the search bar and input old d... It will give you posts, tags etc that might help in what your looking for. Good Luck!!
Thanks guys,
I am ratcheting up the Google searches as we speak as I watch a little Titans vs Falcons NFL action.

AJ D... Any new information about Old Dominion?
Make sure you attend a school that offers 160 hours of Tractor Trailer training with certificate included. They will not accept a certificate with fewer hours, even if it's one-on-one.
160 TT or more.

I have finally decided to go with Old Dominion.
Now, I need to find out the best way to get in with this outfit.
The hiring process seems to focus on current employee recommendations / referrals followed by an interview.
So, goal one is to find a fast track in.
I am leaving this thread open to ANYTHING Old Dominion. With, of course, a focus on getting in the door and in a truck for night shift , LTL , line haul driving.
Step one is a call down to OD to see if they have any preferred method / school for obtaining my CDL A.
The Journey Begins :)
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
LTL:
Less Than Truckload
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.
LTL carriers include:
Line Haul:
Linehaul drivers will normally run loads from terminal to terminal for LTL (Less than Truckload) companies.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning them to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.
