Driver changing shoes while driving causes tractor trailer carrying bananas to overturn

A truck driver is facing charges after sheriff’s deputies say he rolled his tractor trailer over in Wyoming County on Friday.

Khush Singh of Quebec, Ontario is charged with reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent.

Sheriff’s deputies say Singh was driving the tractor trailer on State Route 63 in the Town of Covington when he drove into oncoming traffic at a hillcrest and curve in the road. We’re told two vehicles were forced off the road to avoid being hit. Investigators say after driving into the opposite lane, Singh then swerved back into his lane which caused the truck to overturn. We're told he was hauling 40,000 pounds of bananas.

When deputies arrived to the scene of the crash, they noticed that Singh was wearing two diyfferent shoes. Investigators later determined he was changing his shoes while driving and not paying attention to the road.

According to investigators, Singh was operating the tractor trailer with a Quebec driver’s license that had been previously suspended in New York. He was arraigned on the charges and is being held in lieu of $500 cash bail or $2,000 bond.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

Wow. That idiot could have killed someone. I believe I would be looking at who hired him for this load, how he got across the border...etc.

Umm, note to self dress before starting the truck. I guess putting on mascara while driving is also a no-no. I've seen a guy shaving and talking on his cell while driving.

I have seen people reading the newspaper while driving...

I've seen a truck driver driving while holding a plate of eggs and the steering wheel with the same hand and his fork in the other, and another truck driver driving with the cruise on and his feet propped on the dash on either side of the steering wheel.

Some people make me wonder how they have made it this far in life without dying
