It seems like every state does it different, here in NH you get printed first then wait for TSA to ok you, then you can take the test IF you have a current DOT med card. My suggestion is to go get printed now and you will be all set to take the test right at Swift when its time, everyone else will have to wait for their prints..

Hey All, getting ready to get back with Swift since I'm finally moved and looking for a start date of Oct 15th. I'd like to get my Hazmat Endorsement added to my CDL before I attend their school since I already have my DT Trailer and Tanker. Anyone know if I would have to take the test the day I apply at DMV or do you wait until the background check comes back from TSA and DHS. Not sure if that makes any sense at all but it's early. Maybe it's just easier to apply for it while I'm at the swift academy???
