Yay! Good job. My elevator definitely goes to the top floor haha but I am worried about getting lost lol.
Way ta go, Eckoh! Rock those tests!
By the way, in the military we had an attitude about map-reading and orientation that refused to allow us to ever give up and say, "I am lost." That would have been a sign of weakness or of being inept and it kept us self-confident.... ...
Remember this: You are never lost. Just temporarily disoriented.
Get your bearings on your map and regroup.
All I can say about the goombahs with a one-story elevator - think how good they make you look!

Lost did I say lost? Of course I meant temporarily disoriented. Thnx MG
Eckoh, orientation and school is where you will run into a lot of these types. I've been in several orientations in my trucking career and it's almost always the same story. Recently when I joined with Knight on a dedicated account we had nine people there for orientation. I could have told you within about five minutes the five people who weren't going to make it - they are all at home now, or looking for another job.
It's amazing to me how some people think rules do not apply to them. We have had 2 people kicked out for alcohol. First day we are told 0 alcohol and people still drink.
6 people got sent home today. They could not back up the truck.
Awesome news dude,
More room for you, your still there!!!
Keep truck'n
Hopefully, one of the 6 was your dui guy who scared the hell out of you because he couldn't read a map. Glad to hear the others are only on the road because they're on a bus that's driving them home.
No sympathy here. Employment is a privilege and people who don't follow the rules end up being the ones who are dangerous on the road.

Driving Under the Influence
Awesome news dude, More room for you, your still there!!!
Keep truck'n
thanks man. This is a super fast paced course, i got to back up 1 time with the instructor guiding me, then not much guidance. the guy before me failed bad and the truck was so poorly setup i couldn't fix it and failed my first graded attempt however i asked how to fix what i was doing wrong when everyone else took a break and the instructor told m to gt in the truck and practice cause everyone else walked away for the break. After my question was answered fixed what i as doing wrong it just clicked for me and i was going forward and back just fine. Also on of the tricky thing is the test area was on a small slope so it pulled the trailor to the right so you have to correct it. Anyways after i did like 6 perfect backs the intsructor hopped on the side of the tractor and said if i did it like that on more time he will just pass me and i just did the sam thing again and got passsd.
the 6 other guys did not stick around to ask advice or anything ad after lunch they had 3 more hours of backing raining while everyone else started pre trip, everyone of the other guys failed. I am SUPER glad i stopped to ask that question on how to fix what i was doing wrong cause it made me the only one to pass on my second try. I guess all it takes is to show the drive to learn, i got extra set time and when it clicked it clicked.

I started my CDL training this week, we have 3 guys in the class that used to be drivers, 2 let theirs CDL expire doing other thing, one lost his due to a DUI... The DUI guy scares the hell out of me, he does not know how to do a paper log, and he cannot read a map. Just makes me wonder how he was a driver before....
Just curious how many drivers do you run into that ave no idea what they are doing out there... A one of my instructor pot it "their elevator doesn't go to the op floor, its stuck in the basement."
On a side note i have earned a 100 on all my paper tests we start straight line backing tomorrow.
