I worked for Sygma Network for a year before going OTR and had to work nights because I delivered fast food restaurants at night when they were closed.
Now OTR I prefer to start my day at midnight whenever possible. I think my body is trained for nights, I rarely feel like I need a nap.
How was Sygma? I heard they paid great!
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

They were a great company to work for, I started with them because of the starting pay was the best strait out of school. They put you in hotels when your out on route and I was home two full days a week and one layover day. Great job for a family person. It was however a very physically demanding job, I lost weight doing that and than gained it all back as a flatbed driver now. I made $55k gross that year, great pay starting out. I only left because I wanted the OTR lifestyle.

Once I get enough OTR experience that's who I want to work for!

For me, the pro's to night driving is 1) Less Traffic 2) Less Weight Stations open 3) You get to see some awesome sun rises. The Con was my body wanting to sleep between 2-5am.
Day driving, if I was able and I could trip plan accordingly, I always wanted to be on the road by 4am, get a few hours of driving in before the sun came up and other drivers were asleep and I could then park that day by 3:30-4pm and know I could usually find a good parking spot for the night. Get fed, showered and chill in my bunk with some TV.
