First Week School Done

I have pretripped and pretripped, and need to keep practicing pretrip... I have upshift and downshift countless times on the test circuit.... Left turn right turn space management....straightline backing and offset backing and, 3 for 3 on a 90 degree alley dock type backing excercise.... But nothing was more fun than pulling a 45' van trailer with a International Sleeper cab Tractor with a 10 speed down the highway at 55 MPH for the first time !! on a real road excercise !!!!!..... ahem .... i'm okay now ... whew... probably always remember your first ?

My first was back in '93. I remember every moment of it. I remember pulling out onto the highway, hittin the gas, grabbin my first gear, and thinkin "Yeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!! Drivin a real rig!!!"

I remember when my turn was over and I pulled off the road, I got out to look at that monster and thought "My God I can't believe I just drove this building on wheels down the highway! Amazing!!!"

What could be cooler than getting to drive a rig? One of the coolest things you can do.

I agree with you Brett, I hopped down out of that truck and when I realized that I had just driven that baby was one of the coolest things ever!! You are right Ken, it is like your first love, first kiss, first....you get the picture!
