Daniel I did not realize Prime paid that well. If you are on track to make 50k net what are you looking at gross? 75k to 80k?
He meant he's grossing $50,000. I edited it just now for him.
In this trek to figure if I can afford to follow my dream and in the process make a very good living my next question leads to team driving. I am not one for being stuck in a confined space which leads me to think this isn't for me as I am more of a private person and like to be alone but I have to ask and be totally informed. how does team driving work as far as pay? are you paid less per mile but total miles driven by the team are all figured in for pay or just your miles driven? could someone please shed some light on this for me

with someone else I don't mind if it is just me

Guy, companies are raising the cpm quite a bit now to quell the rumblings of the bulls**t driver shortage. I went to 41cpm a couple months ago with my little experience. It helps, but, none of it matters if there are long wait times at shippers/consignees combined with the damn HOS rules.
It yields the same result.
Consignee:
The customer the freight is being delivered to. Also referred to as "the receiver". The shipper is the customer that is shipping the goods, the consignee is the customer receiving the goods.
Shipper:
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
CPM:
Cents Per Mile
Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.
HOS:
Hours Of Service
HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
