Scott, I'm not sure about Swift's dedicated routes but they have a ton of regional freight out West. You can't go very far in most Western states without seeing one of their trucks.
A driver or carrier who transports cargo between regular, prescribed routes. Normally it means a driver will be dedicated to working for one particular customer like Walmart or Home Depot and they will only haul freight for that customer. You'll often hear drivers say something like, "I'm on the Walmart dedicated account."
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
Coming out of Nevada, Minden / Gardenville is 395 and NV-88 right at the Nv / Ca line on 88 is a restricted truck route.

Hi, First off, this forum is fantastic. I have a question geared toward those that drive or have driven for Swift: Is there a dedicated route that runs from southern California to Oregon along Highway 395? I have traveled 395 quite often and have seen a lot of Swift trucks on that route, especially around the Alturas/Termo/Susanville area. Thank you!
