Ok so it's funny and a bit frustrating but I hope you all get a kick out of this one.

So I'm headed to Lake Orion Michigan to settle down for the night (8am pickup). I realize I need to stop and get a cash advance for a hotel. I was just in Lansing and figure since I'm going right past Flint, I'll stop at a truck stop in Flint and grab it on the way. One problem, no truck stops in Flint but there are Speedway stations with diesel islands that take fleet cards. Unfortunately this one didn't do cash advances so I walk back out towards the truck and there's another driver dropping off supplies for the station. Here's the conversation.

Me : Are you by chance from around here ?
Driver: Born and raised, need some directions ?
Me: Are there any actual truck stops around ? Flying J, TA, Pilot etc?
Driver: No, none around Flint.
Me: Well crap. Hey, where do you guys fill up at?
Driver: The TA truck stop in Saginaw.
Me: Oh cool (Saginaw is 20 miles on 75n)
Driver: if you needa truck stop though, the closest is south of Detroit )
Me: Yeah, The Detroiter in Woodhaven. Saginaw is closer.
Driver: You need a truck stop though right? TA is justa fuel spot.
Me: (facepalm)(TA is a full service truck stop with parking for around 200 trucks) Ok, I'll hit The Detroiter.
Driver: Detroiter is too far, try Flying J in Woodhaven across from the Ford plant.
Me: Yep, the Detroiter, same place.
Driver: No, the Detroiter is farther south down in Woodhaven.
Me: (facepalm again, they're the same place and he's arguing ams describing both but saying they're. ....oh nevermind) Thanks bub, I'll head that way. Have a good night, be safe.
Driver: You too fella and remember, it's the Love's in Woodhaven
Me: (facepalm yet again)

So I went to the TA in Saginaw that isn't a truck stop, got my cash and now relaxing in the hotel till the morning for my pickup.
