Because I was a Schneider driver. Lol I think I smell a bit of a rivalry. Then today seeing up an offset, I steered hard left. He wanted 1 turn left. (Hey, is been a while) so he says "Yup, Schneider trained" lol. It's all good though, he's moving me on so I don't have to compete with the complete newbies for backing time. So far generally a positive experience here.

Yeah, the rivalry between companies can be fun and pretty harmless. Every major company takes a ribbing from the others. Kinda like the Ford/Chevy thing back in the day.

Ford hands down. Not that Ford is good, just GM makes terrible products, not 100% of the time, a broken clock is right twice a day, but usually.

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Give me a import any day you all can keep the fords and Chevy's all you want... My honda had over 250,000 miles and ran like a champ with no major engine work... Can't say that for fords and gm

198000 on my Ford Ranger and I have put that truck through some hell. No major issues other than I finally had to replace the cap over plug. Not so bad considering it was factory. Basic maintenance goes a long way no matter what you drive.

I bought my first Chevy Truck - a '73 shortbed - in '94 when I was 23. Since then I've always owned an old Chevy truck that was just about the same age as myself. Now I have a '77 that's getting a new 400hp 383 installed. I'll never own anything but old Chevy trucks.......

Loyalty is for dogs. You can win some over with a steak. I guess I like steak because I'll drive anything if someone pays me to do it! dancing-dog.gif

My first new car... 1992 Chevy Cavalier. That was a great car. I kept it for 10 years and put over 250k miles on it. Got rear ended and pushed through an intersection by a Dodge Neon, their car was totaled, you could hardly tell my car had been hit unless you looked close and saw the lower part of the deck lid pushed in a bit. That car actually ran better when I got rid of it than when it was brand new with only 18 miles on it. Chevy has some damn good engines ans transmissions, almost bullet proof as long as you take care of them with regular maintenance.
