Do they at least pay you layover pay?

I don't think so... I'm with a trainer and he's a lease op.. Not sure if that matters or not ...

Oh. Usually, at least with Melton, your pay as a trainee is set. The trainer would get the layover pay at Melton, as would I if I couldn't get a pre-plan the same day as a delivery. Of course, there will be exceptions. But for the most part, we will get layover pay having to wait that long.

Yeah not with crst they don't even pay for orientation and while training I get. 25 a mile split mile... It's messed up though if the trainer is owner op they pay the student .09 cents of the .25

We told are FM we are starting to grow roots might have to start paying Washington state tax at the end of the year...

We don't have a state income tax in WA. Absurdly high sales and sin taxes, yes, but no income tax. At least, not yet.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

I know but then my argument would sound less meaningful if I said something other then state tax.. Lol

We got a load yesterday that had 2100 miles with three stops and dead head 250 miles... Well we started driving 150 miles and they cancelled the load on us so Now we sit again in Washington state.. I'm so upset its not funny anymore... But still keeping a positive attitude... Not sure how much longer though I have family at home that needs money...

The life of trucking, sorry to hear your issues I was just in Spokane on Friday. Fortunately we had a pre plan in the morning before we got there heading back out. Good luck

I know the feeling. I'm sitting down in Texas and the only load I've had since Saturday was the run from Baton Rouge Sunday night to get me to Dallas. It's nearing the end of the day and things are slowing down. With places being closed for good Friday and being easter weekend isn't helping.
