Same kind of scenario for me. Worked maybe last 10 years, under-the-table @ 2 auto repair shops, I could get letters stating as such. As well as other ref's from side work, and lifelong friends, who know I'm no slouch. Never was even offered to go the 1099 route at either place. Figured it's time to get a REAL job again, because retirement age ain't so far off, now haha

Hello again to everyone smile.gif well its been really busy the last few days with easter and getting everything together. I've finally decided I'm not going to take no for an answer to this job verify situation, so as a result I've been getting letters together from few contractors I've been doing work for as well as a few close friends and relatives to send out hoping that it will work. So as of Friday night which was also my birthday I have filled out two more apps (Swift and C.R. England) although I'm still not sure about the last one yet. Heard the most bad reviews on them. So was waiting all day to get done with what I had to do so I could call them for follow up. Was little bummed I hadn't heard from anyone yet but needless to say around 4 o clock I received not one but two calls from out of state dancing-banana.gif one from Swift recruiter and also from C.R.England. Upon talking with the last from Swift I have found out that they are A-OK with using statements from others as a verification of my working and not being lazy. I do have a record from over 17 years ago that she has sent me some forms to fill out and send back so she can have that verified but so far I am extremely excited. Just getting this far after talking with the not so friendly lady at prime that almost killed my hopes of being on the road has made my day. To Steve VW this may be your shot as well. Anyways any info on these two companies would be greatly appreciated. I have also sent an email to a recruiter at knight and will contact her tom as to what they will require. Knight and Prime were my first choice with Swift right behind. As I have read on here seems plans tend to change alot :) from where u want to be to where they will accept u. Still waiting to hear back again from cre as I got a voice mail when I returned the call so will also follow up with him tom if I haven't heard back by morning. Thanks in advance for any info you all could provide on these companies.
