Hey people, I couldn't sleep and started looking up stuff to read/watch re: the whole DEF thing ... I came across a YouTube video that covers the whole thing that (I think) EVERYONE should watch ... if you ever had the dash lamps come on that look like "puffs" of air, with or without a thermometer and thought, "What the heck?? What do I do now?", this is the answer ... I think every training program should include this information ... HOWEVER, personally, my experience has been that Prime handed me the keys to a BRAND NEW truck and never gave a thought to telling me about this system or how it works ... now I had owner's manuals and I read them a bit BUT I did not fully understand these systems until I watched this excellent video ... it is put out By Cummins and it's about their system but the info applies to any of the SCR/DEF systems (Selective Catalytic Reduction/Diesel Exhaust Fluid) ... there is a whole alphabet of Acronyms but they are well explained in the video ... Oh, and send your checks for $19.95 to Jopa's Continuing Education Foundation care of this channel ...

P.S. No need for comments (unless you want to express your undying gratitude) but you might want to add a line or two to keep this post on Page 1 - you know how quickly the posts get "overwhelmed" and pushed to the back ...

How SCR/DEF systems work (Selective Catalytic Reduction/Diesel Exhaust Fluid)

This video describes the function of SCR/DEF systems (Selective Catalytic Reduction/Diesel Exhaust Fluid).

What, you don't recognize false modesty? I said you don't HAVE to comment (which really means, stroke my ego and Do comment just to show me you love me after all) ... like the comedian who's saying, "That enough, oh, no, REALLY that's enough applause ... " while motioning with his hands for the applause to continue ... ya know? I hope you realize I'm grinning ear-to-ear while I'm typing this ... I love to tease, got it from me mum ...
