Are there any products that use the tractor air supply? A couple ones I can think of are, tire inflator(must be with gauge), blower(trailer cleanup), and coupler for air tools(air guns, pneumatic jack stand, etc). But google isn't my friend this time? :)

I've seen glad hand hoses that have tire inflators on them. They were at a pilot

I can't think of anything else offhand but anything that runs off compressed air could be rigged to run off the truck's air supply I'm sure.

When I was in the sign business we were often times doing fabrication work in the field. I would make a simple alteration to my air tanks on my trucks by drilling a hole in the tank and welding an air hose fitting on the side of the tank. That way we could hook up and air line to the trucks compressor and use pneumatic tools right out there on the job site. It worked great.

I don't recommend you making alterations to your company trucks though smile.gif

I have an air system in my jeep that works just like a big trucks... its a belt driven air compressor with a pressure switch to turn it on and off. You can run anything you want off of them.

What i would do is get a glad hand with a hose on it and hook it to your red line when stopped then run what ever you want off it.

Eckoh, thank you for the info. I'm thinking about the practicability of a pheumatic blower compare with battery powered one.

smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif At truck stops, you'll find kits that T into the Airline to the seats with compression fittings, a nice long Spiral hose with a Blow Gun on the end to Blow the Dirt out of the Cab...
