Aha!

So I take an hour off instead of just 30 minutes to take a shower and clean my smoothie blender glass jug.

Showering with the dirty dishes again.

That smoothie blender cup is huge! Slightly over 2 liters in fact. I can either take it with me to the shower, or I can buy two gallons of water and spend 2$ everytime I need to clean it. You gotta make do with what you got. Sometimes you just have to be creative. And also, the shower actually has super hot water so that helps a bunch. Its just the best way, no matter how silly it sounds.

Showering with the dirty dishes again.

That cracks me up!!! If there's a river next to a truck stop you might find him out there washing his clothes by beating them against the rocks. rofl-3.gif

One time the '73 Chevy short bed pickup I had blew the front main seal in the transmission in the wintertime. I brought it into the house and put it in the bathtub so I could remove and replace that seal. Had to put together some PVC pieces with hose clamps and rubber fittings to fit over the shaft and pound that bearing in. That was many years ago. Nowadays if the wind chill gets too low I bring my one rooster into the basement. He's the only chicken that doesn't have access to a heat lamp and solid protection from the wind.

So if I can put a transmission in the tub and a rooster in the basement then Daniel has my blessing. He can wash his dishes in the shower.

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

The question is....

Can you wash your rooster in the shower?

Is that anything like choking the chicken??

Oh you'd have one angry rooster if you tried that! I spend half my time running for my life as it is without doing thing like that! rofl-3.gif

Is that anything like choking the chicken??

No, that would be an altogether different experience!

Breaking News

This thread of officially the longest thread in TruckingTruth history.

You guys have just witnessed history! I can't tell you how much fun this thread has been but damn, it hasn't been easy. I sacrificed sleep a few hundred times to make a post on here but if someone learned something from my Adventures then I'm pleased with it and that was my goal from the start when I created this thread many months ago.

I hope you've all enjoyed it!

I learned some really valuable lessons from this thread like how to shower with a rooster, and how to sneak my dirty dishes into the shower room at the truck stop. I always hate it when I get in the shower and find somebody's leftover chilli on the walls, and banana smoothly clogging up the drain. If I ever catch up with you Daniel, you are in trouble! dancing-banana.gifrofl-3.gifrofl-3.gifdancing-banana.gif

I'll give you some interesting insights into the history of page views on this thread and how this stuff works on the web. For starters, here's a link to a PDF report I just did on this particular topic only:

PDF report on Daniel's Thread

The graph at the top shows page views on any given day. As you can see, anytime you update this thread it averages between 100-150 page views that day. When you stop updating it, it drops significantly as other topics rise to the top.

I sacrificed sleep a few hundred times to make a post on here but if someone learned something from my Adventures then I'm pleased with it and that was my goal from the start when I created this thread many months ago.

This topic has had 6,930 page views to date. So you'll be happy to know that many thousands of people have read through this thread. Every time you update it, 100-150 people will view it that day.

I'm all about data. Most people don't know that about me. smile.gif
