So, just wondering how y'all pass time on the road? Do you take your 10 and just hit Netflix, You Tube or Crash Out, hang at the TS and catch a meal and BS at the Counter or maybe take a 34 at a Terminal , do laundry, shower and climb back into the Truck? Something I really miss moving to Texas is called Vintage Base Ball, it is a blast and very entertaining. Extremely prevalent in the NE and Eastern Mid-West, Guys and some Teams consisting of Women only, play a style of Baseball based on rules from the 1860's to 1885, no Gloves, open pastures, trees in the outfield and Cranks (spectators) that have a chance to change to outcome of the game. I was introduced to this in 2004 in Gleenwood Springs CO, vaca time with the Wife and found a poster in a shop about a game that Saturday, sooooo much fun, about a year later saw another poster about a game a couple miles from the house and thought, Hey let's check this out again. So we wen't on down to an old WW1 Army Training Field about a mile from the house to see a game, they where short on players and recruited me, dressed in Jeans, Polo and Dress Shoes I said He** ya and joined in the fun. Turned a few double plays playing 2nd and hitting well. Joined the Colorado Vintage Bass Ball Association in 2005 and played with them until 2012 when I moved to Texas. Did a Barnstorming Tour with the Boy's in 2006, we landed in Chi Town, played 9 games in 9 days headed to Columbus OH for a weekend Tournament. I think like 26 teams where there from all over and I must say one of the best weekends of my life. If I find myself ORT and in OH,IN or PA I will definitely bring a couple of my Old Tyme Uniforms with me just in case I find myself burning a 34 and somewhere a game may need an extra. Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

That sounds awesome. I usually do Netflix or Amazon, about once a week I try to find a restaurant to actually go in and have a sit down meal just like a normal person would. Not that truck drivers aren't normal people,,,,,although??

I fix my dinner (in my truck... salads), eat, phone my wife, and sleep. Usually wake an hour before time to hit the road. I have hundreds of movies and shows downloaded and ready-to-watch on my computer, but haven't seen even one yet because I haven't found the time. Too tired to stay up and stare at my computer for several hours. I'm suffering through my first 34 now, so walking quite a bit, after having gotten caught up with my laundry. Your old-timey baseball sounds like great fun; I used to play, and would love to get in on one of those games.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

For my 10 hour break, I talk to my wife, plan the next day's drive and go to sleep. No time for netflix or Youtube. I'm also addicted to Word Cookies. Right now I'm on here waiting to do a drop, hook, drop, hook, drop, hook at Lowes in El Paso TX.
