Important to note is that the VA apprenticeship program draws funds from your GI bill. Just keep that in mind if you intend on using it for college classes or what have you.

Also that monthly pay out or BAH is based on the location of the company terminal registered with the VA. It will decrease by 20% every 6 months for up to two years depending on the company.

Terminated from CR England

I don't think there is much to be confused about here. He didn't handle certain situations as the company would expect him too and was fired for it. He does play the victim rather well though.

Boil it down -- what do you LOVE about trucking?

First and foremost is the money. Secondly, I enjoy being left alone to do my job.

You cant makey money saying no

I love being able to chose my loads based on all available loads out of my terminal or whatever terminal I happen to be at. Sometimes there are only less than desirable loads left on the board, but I'll never say no because I'm not in the business of making no money. I prefer my days off to be paid time off, excluding weekends of course.

Old company reported a preventable accident on my DAC

I think that's all you can do. Dispute the charge and the company will have a set amount of time to provide documents proving you were in a preventable accident. You got the better job though right? Stay put there for a while and you have nothing to worry about in regards to your dac.

Veteran seeking DOT disqualifications.

I don't know about your prescription but your VA disabilities are not a disqualifier. I am 100% and have not had any issue during the hiring process.

No home time for me.

I'd be upset too but when I was OTR I always gave my company at least 3 weeks(usually 4-5 weeks) notice for my next home time. I too live in TN and never had a problem getting home. 5-6 days notice is not a very long time for them to plan accordingly. Try not too let it upset you so much you become distracted and unsafe out there. Goodluck brother!
