Yeah... You can't just copy the URL from a news story with a photo in it and expect it to know you only want to show the photo...
You have to save the image to your computer, then upload it to a website like photobucket, then click on the link button, find the direct link to that image, copy it, come back here, click the photo button above where you enter your post, then paste the link into the box and click submit. Tedious, I know, but it is what it is.
I think you can bypass the saving/uploading if you can find a direct link to the image online. It should end with .jpg or .png or something like that.
