Hello TT I'm in cdl school atm and have a few questions, I have never had or used Sirius radio before but with this new career path I'm thinking it may be a good investment. How does it work and will i be able to use it in a Schneider truck. Thank you for your time.

You have a Sirius Radio satellite receiver in your truck, and can listen as you drive across country. You can listen to Howard Stern for 11 hours at a time if you like, I guess.

Some truck companies have truck radios that include the Sirius channel, but you have to pay Sirius for the programming.

If you can't find anyone to tell you they have Sirius radios on board, yo have to look at a radio in the truck. Besides the usuyal radio bands (AM/FM) look for another selector or button that goes though things like Bluetooth/AUX/USB/Sirius/WX (weather)/and Sirius.

It's a rare company that will pay for the subscription, but if you select the Sirius channel, you'll get a program sampler, plus an ad that tells you how to sign up.

If you find the radio is not Sirius, skip the truck $top and park at Walmart.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

(I'm learning about this as I post here)

Like cable TV, there's basic ($11/month) and it's $15 and $20 for more features. This is Bring Your Own Sirius Receiver rates.

You can also download the SiriusXm app and stream your subscription on a mobile device. No need to buy a radio receiver. I just plug my phone into the radio aux port and good to go.

Ahh that's pretty cool I'll look into that for sure if the trucks don't have the radio receiver , thanks again all
