Well I need to get a hands free device that has noise reduction. I bought a cheapo jabra and no one can hear or understand me over the cab noise or even the wind outside. I have kind of narrowed it down to 2 models that are under $100.

The Plantronics Voyager Pro HD Bluetooth Headset, $99 bucks at Staples.

The Jabra Extreme2 Bluetooth® Headset, $79 bucks at staples.

Both seem pretty good, reviews vary, the jabra is very light but has bad reviews of muffled voice and tin can or robot voice. The Plantronics has good reviews but is 3 times as heavy. I have hated the ones that go in your ear so I need a behind the ear type, good noise reduction, and preferably not an over the head thing as I don't like that much either. I really just want something people can hear me on in the noisy cab or out in the wind.

Thanks!

Phil

Can't help with this but im wondering if there is a system like my car has that turns the radio into a speaker phone .. then again it may be too loud to hear with engine noise

I need something I can both drive and get out of the truck with.

Most driver I know have Blue Parrot headsets. There are several different styles, not all go over the head (which is what I prefer because of comfort and I have hearing aids).

Go to this website: http://www.vxicorp.com/solutions/mobile/ Cut/paste it into your web browser and check out the variety. I am sure you will find something that will fit your needs. I have had my B250-XT for over 3 years now and it still is doing just fine. There are newer versions out, but as long as mine is doing the job, I see no reason to replace it.

Also, all the main truckstop chains sell them, so you can check them out if you want to see before you buy. Blue Parrot is not the only brand, but I have found talking to other drivers, they seem to last the best.

Personally, I like the blue parrot models as I can't stand something in my ear but you can find that Voyager model cheaper on amazon much cheaper.

I have this one and it does real good with background noise. But check around on the web i think you can get it for cheaper the 99.

I have the blue parrot 350 and love it. Battery last a respectable time and I can have the window rolled down and have an old school Pete pass me and my wife can't hear any of that
