Welcome Trucking in Jesus Name! Can we call you "TJ" - Trucking for Jesus?
The best thing you can do between now and when you leave for school is blast through as much of our High Road Training Program as you can. If you have your permit already then focus on the other sections. If not, start at the beginning and go crazy. Here is how our program breaks down:
A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.
Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A written or electronic record of a driver's duty status which must be maintained at all times. The driver records the amount of time spent driving, on-duty not driving, in the sleeper berth, or off duty. The enforcement of the Hours Of Service Rules (HOS) are based upon the entries put in a driver's logbook.
A vehicle with two separate parts - the power unit (tractor) and the trailer. Tractor-trailers are considered combination vehicles.
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.
Yes you Can Mr Brett. I have done got my CDL Premit and ready to go. I thank you so much for the Advice. I will keep an Update as a go thru Celadon Trucking in Indy.............

Congrats Trucking!!!! You'll like Celadon and since I'm out of Indy, I might even run into you while you guys are out doing road drives. One of the places they stop to switch drivers is not too far from my house.
Welcome TJ! I'm in Indiana, though I didn't go to celadon my trainer used to work for them. I know the route you will have to do for your skills test and if you want any info about it I would be happy to help. I tested at the same facility that they use.
