Getting paid per diem means getting a portion of your salary paid to you without taxes taken out. It's technically classified as a meal and expense reimbursement.

I haven't read the per diem article in a while but it just recently went up to $63 per day. I'm not sure if the article reflects that.

I have been considering getting into trucking. I have spent the last 25 years traveling in construction so the nomadic lifestyle is no issue to me. We talk a lot about cpm pay,but what about per Diem? DO the companies offer this while on the road? Being in construction we were always given a per Diem to pay for food while traveling. Thanks Bolt
