Since the first day behind the wheel during training in February 2011, I've kept a daily record of my miles driven along with a list of each days start and stop point and stops (delivery, pickup) along the way. This past Thursday morning while traveling west on I-16 near Dublin, GA, my personal miles reached the 500,000 miles driven mark, accident and incident free, I'm proud to say. As I've stated before on this forum, a big THANK YOU to Brett and all the others for your advice and support in helping me reach this mark. Since taking an hourly job last December, my mileage has dropped, but I'm home almost every night while running Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina with a 6300 gallon tanker. Be safe at all times, practice patience, and make your job enjoyable as best you can. This life is certainly not for everyone, and you better be strong mentally to survive, but the rewards can be satisfying. Best of luck to all. Safe trucking!
