Hey guys been reading forums for a couple months and have been mostly unemployed doing side jobs and building sweet gaming rigs and office PCs for cash. Recently decided to go all out and get into trucking as I enjoy the open road and have no issue being by myself.

Just arrived in Lewiston Idaho from Boise at around 3pm pst.

Swift now uses the red lion hotel here but the room I got was across the parking lot and is not enough energy close to the quality as the main hotel. Still a stepid up from who they previously used.

I checked in and got in my rooand so far as of 4:15pm pst I'm alone in here. On one hand I want the room to myself on the other I wouldn't mind a study buddy for all that pretty trip mumbo jumbo.

Lil info about me if interested. I'm a dude in my late twenties and have been freelancing worknow most my life and decided it was time I needed a career to achieve the goals I have for myself and the goals I share with my beautiful fiancée.

I met my fiance playing the MMORPG world of warcraft. I decided to server transfer and picked Area 52. I joined the first guild I ran into and played for a few days here and there, one day someone in guild chat mentioned she was having a panic attack at the doctors office because the doctoright makes her nervous.

Being that I have dealt with anxiety myself I knew how nice it was just to have someone talk to you to help you relax and get back to being chill! I sent her a pm letting her now I too had panic attacks in the past and the best thing to do is tell yourself "hey its just anxiety imy going to be OK it's just anxiety and it's OK it will go away soon." Shirt York after her panics subsided and we became good friends and talked for months everyone we played. Eventually we decided it would be cool to meet up so I drove from idaho down to Texas and we spent a week together. When I got ready to go she grabbed a bag and left with me home to idaho!

That's a little brief story for yall. I will try to update this thread every night after CDL school and note my progress and inform of anything exciting happening and whatnot.

Just be known if you get stuck in this sub building for red lion its subar. I would not mind if it was actually free but provided I graduate and go solo I'll be paying for it so I'd have preferred the main building myself!

Idaho noob.

I just realized I was in the wrong sub section if a mod could move this to the training diaries that would be great and I apologize.

I also apologize for any grammar or terrible spelling mistakes as I'm typing these up on a tablet my awesome brother got me so I would have entertainment outside studies!

Some in my class were lodged in the main building. It wasn't better, just different. Listen to the instructors, don't stand around, get in the cab as much as you can while on the range. Good luck.

Just keep on updating your blog. That's all we ask. As for grammar, spelling, diction, lexicography and all that other junk, save it for LanguageTruth.com or something. You're good here.

Just remember, Noob, you will probably get really really frustrated with backing the trailer, and maybe the Hours of Service. Take your time, focus on what you need to do. Remember, 18 million US truck drivers had to do this and they are on the road now.

If I could "like" your posts I would. It's nice seeing helpful replies. Over at the other forum people just belittle you or rant about how bad swift is when they never even drove for them :).

Im sure I will get frustrated at back and hos. Never really backed up trailers at all. Just once when I hauled a 6x12 uhaul so this should be fun and nerve racking and probably every emotion we experience haha. I'll leave the thread until tomorrow and update after day 1.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Listen man, I'm not sure what the deal is but first you posted in the wrong section and asked me to move it here. No problem. Then you do a "test post" in the other forum and I have to remove that too. Now you're here telling me to remove this one also for God knows what reason. You've already got this one going fine so continue with it. I'm going to delete this post and your last one so they're not in the way.
