After considering all companies & the ones that fit my needs I think I have decided that I will go with SWIFT! I think this will be a good starter company for me. Also I have just downloaded Brett's mobile Android App to start practicing for my CDL permit. Is the app pretty much like the website? I prefer an app so whenever I have downtime at my job or when I'm home not doing anything I can just open the app & study! Also Brett I thank you for this! If all goes well I plan to leave out for training with Swift February 15th!

CDL:

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Good Choice!

I prefer the app, and use it more often than the High Roads ( SORRY BRETT). The reason is, the way it is set up. I am learning and retaining more with the app, than when I was using the High Roads. I will eventually finish the High Roads, though, as I get closer to actually taking my permit tests.

Good luck in your new career.

Stay safe

TMC is my first choice. followed by McElroy, Averitt, Schneider, Gypsum Express, Super Service, and USA Truck.

I also have Swift, and Roehl in the mix, if circumstances point me in the company sponsored direction.

Flatbed is where my heart is set.
