No. If you have a Cpap the company will install an inverter that you provide up to 500 watts. I was told conflicting rules about the ones that plug into the 12v socket, but either way those will only draw about 150w max.
CPAP is a breathing assist device which is worn over the mouth or nose. It provides nighttime relief for individuals who suffer from Sleep Apnea.
Ok so if you cant have any source of AC power know any alternatives for cooking and laptop charging?
I've been using a 12v coffee cup that are sold at truck stops. I only heat water with it. It works for soup and coffee
You might want to look into a lunchbox cooker. Its good for heating up lots of stuff I cook hotdogs and reheat premade dinners in mine.
Power inverters can run most 110v AC items. The smallest ones, like for a laptop, run around $20-$25.
I was told at orientation that you're not allowed to have any sort of inverter unless it's installed by Swift for a CPAP machine. I have heard of guys running the ones that plug into the 12 volt outlet's, and they just take them out when they're in for maintenance. But again I don't condone breaking company rules. I have a 12 volt cooler, and alcohol stove as of now. I don't keep a laptop with me, I just use my phone. But you'd be surprised they amount of things you can find that plug into a 12 volt socket.

Good call Dan, rule breaking would defeat the purpose of going through all the training and exams.

Couple post state that inverters aren't allowed with Swift. Unless if I have a CPAP which I don't need.

A Swift driver posted this. He has that dinky one to run his laptop.

I know Swift's trucks have no APUs but do they come standard with inverters. If not will I be able to install one in company truck without making any forbidden modifications.
APU:
Auxiliary Power Unit
On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.
Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.
