What antenna do you run?

Kris, I bought a Uniden PRO 5620XL on Amazon for $45.00. 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Does the same thing as the fancy chrome ones with a bunch of extra knobs and lights. all CB radios have approximately the same range. 2-4 miles. Power is limited by FCC.

Right now I have it hooked up in my personal vehicle with a 36" magnetic mount Cobra antenna. I have never owned or used a CB radio in my life. Knew I would need one when I started driving so I bought an inexpensive set-up. Who knows, I may decide to upgrade some day, or find that this radio is just fine. I don't see a need right now for a souped up (possibly illegal) radio that "Gets Out" 100 miles. I'm gonna be more concerned with whats going on a few miles up the road
