Hi folks! I went to C1 Truck Driving school in Indy, and it was the most challenging thing I have done yet! I just wanted to let everyone know how valuable Truckingtruth.com was to me for gathering information before, during, and after my experience in a truck driving school! I hope everyone has a great day!

Samson, I know what you mean. I went through the Swift Academy several months ago. I've been solo for six weeks now. I took everything very seriously, some didn't. I am driving a Truck and they aren't! It has been the most challenging endeavor of my life, and I have had a few. (My second marriage comes to mind! LOL!) I continue to take this job seriously, and will continue to do so. In this short period of time I have begun to reap the financial rewards as well. I have earned close to $5000.00 to date. Not bad for a ROOKIE!. Keep up the good work!

Hey that's great to hear!

So what's next on the agenda? Does PAM have a trainer lined up for you already or do you still have to make the trip to orientation?

I will be making the trip to orientation soon :D First day is the 15th, so I will probably get an email with my bus tickets and arrival time/terminal location today or tomorrow!

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
