Healthrow Airport, London England ready to board when the filght was cancelled. I watched in horror as the first tower collapsed while riding back to the hotel in a Black Cab. An instant feeling of cold, helplessness overcame all else. Numb...never felt it before, never have since.
I was unable to contact family for two days. I was unable to return to the United States, my country, my home for three weeks. At least I was among friends...
The return flight was surreal, as was picking up my car at Newark Airport when weeks before the last thing I looked at before boarding the shuttle bus, was the twin towers.
RIP to all who were lost on that day and thoughts and prayers to their families. Thanks for the reminder Pat, a day that I will never forget.
I remember watching the second plane hit live on TV. It was a surreal day.
I was in home room in the 9th grade was bout to go into 1st period
This day gets pushed aside just like December 7th does. Thousands of Americans lost their lives on both days yet the media somehow does not want to remind us. You do not hear anything about Pearl Harbor day nor September 11th.
I was at work and just about to leave on a repair call when it came across the radio. I went back inside and we turned on the television. We actually saw the second plane fly into the other tower.
I remember a chill going down my spine and anger creep into my gut. It is still there to an extent although it has grown less with the passage of time. But I will vow to always remember that day.

I am guilty of this myself. Does anyone realize what today is? September 11th
Never forget all the victims and heroes of that day 15 years ago. I remember what I was doing that day, do you?
