Has anyone ever heard about MC Express? They are a pretty small company (100 trucks) out of Jonesboro AR.

I've had a potential job offer from them and I cannot for the life of me find anything out about them. I've tried googling them and all I come up with is their website which tells me very little.

I have some information which does answer some questions but the big ones still unanswered are pay and equipment. I have heard that they only run Mack trucks, which is awesome.

Any tidbits anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

You look at their Facebook? Seems like they run volvos and freightliners. The reviews were also good on the profile.

You can always look up their CSA score, not sure if OR is public record or not though. Sometimes, not finding reviews is a blessing in disguise since it means that their employees are generally pretty happy and don't have to sit at home whining on a keyboard.

CSA:

Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA)

The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle

I can't find a bad review anywhere. All I'm seeing is good.

I know the general rule is to stay with the first company for a year. And I agree. But when a much better opportunity comes along, with a smaller company, that is seemingly everything we are looking for, what's a girl to do?

This is simply in the asking questions phase at this point. But I'm liking what I'm seeing. I never expected them to call seeing how I only have half the experience they require. But they did. So I'm going to call Monday and see what they have to offer and go from there. I really hate to leave my DM though...

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

My fear would be that they would not have the loads when when freight is slow. Also, don't burn bridges just in case.

Definitely not burning my bridges. It's just exploring options right now.

ChickieMonster, what did you find out about MC Express? I'm thinking of going there as my first gig, but am also unable to find out much about them. Why did you decide not to go with them?

Thanks
