I've never driven that highway, but after reading your post, I feel like I have.
Just kidding.Seriously, what's it like?
Just missed you! I drove it westbound from Wichita to Tucumcari Thursday and yesterday. (Spent the night in Liberal.) It is a nice drive.
I 70 through glenn canyon in utah, gorgeous drive. Just came back from northern Washington, also some great scenery. Got to see mt rainier, Mt Adam's. Got to drive the roads down through Wenatchee. Some nice rivers and wooded scenery.
There's some amazing things to see for sure as you drive this country. Coming up from Oregon into Washington, nothing but hills and the landscape is covered with dead grass, but it's all a golden color, so it all looks really neat.

That's my homeland and I love it, but today I drove I-26 through the Carolinas and it's fantastic. When the leaves turn I'm sure it gets better.

I70 west of Denver and I84 through Oregon are my favorite drives. If I could drive that part of I70 every day, I probably would.
