Good to hear its going good so far. I still need to see SD and ND. Really want to see ND just cause my grandma grew up there. See WY ain't so bad, in fact you can have it. I'll take Arizona haha.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

I love Spearfish SD! Lived there for about 3 1/2 years while I was working in the oil fields. Great little town and having a small business college in town never hurt my dating prospects either. LOL

JJ

Yeah it's a nice little place! I love the way it's just nestled up there in between all the hills and mountains. I'm a mountain guy, so getting to go places like that makes me really happy

Haha. I don't know if I've been to ND in a truck yet. I went several years ago for a piano competition and all I really remember was how cold it was. I think my favorite state so far is Utah.

So far I'm liking this better than anything I've done before. There's alot more variety so it stays interesting. I also enjoy the extra backing and close quarters maneuvering I get to do on this. One of my favorite things though is pulling these trailers. Every one I've pulled so far is in immaculate condition. The one I'm hooked to right now is so pretty and shiny I had to do an extra long post trip tonight just so I could admire it. LOL.

Welcome to Walmart. You closet foamer...sounds like me. I had 140201 the other day, one month old.

Even their older dry vans are well maintained; 60000-79999 number series are 15-20 years old but still immaculate.

Reefers though...the older units are beat; 301000-303999. They are slowly getting rid of them, but this time of year they will load anything with wheels, doors and a kingpin.

Glad it's working out for you thus far. It's done right by me for quite awhile.

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

123321 once, 2 summers ago. It was dark and raining so no photo.

Three favorite dry vans; Sam's Club, The Hamburger Trailer, and Wreaths Across America. The "Wreaths" vans have eluded me.

See...told you I was a Foamer. LOL

We lost the contract!! I swear it seems like there is some evil force following me making sure I can't stay with one dispatcher for more than a few months. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do, AGAIN.

Geez Dude. Not surprised based on what you described, cause this time of year, at least for us, the busiest. No let up until after the New Year.

Now what?
