I'm sitting in GA and a fabulous thunderstorm is pounding away.

As a child I used to open my bedroom window during summer thunderstorms and let the rain hit my face.

While writing my latest novel, I opened the windows at 3am and the wind blew my curtain s violently as the rain pounded the window. I was writing a thriller and scared myself lol

If you didn't have to drive in it, what is your favorite weather?

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

Getting snowed in for a day not having to do anything. Good excuse to be lazy, I still love winter, but damn after getting stuck and driving through some heavy slush, I am ready for the spring haha.

The workup to a good Thunderstorm or a midwinter Thundersnow.

Working the midnight shift for the PD during a heavy snowstorm. I'd find an empty street around 3 a.m. and turn out all the lights on my squad car except for the traffic light pre-emption emitter (a rapid flashing high intensity strobe light) and drive. The strobe would "stop-action" the snow flakes. I felt like I was in the Millennium Falcon making the jump to hyperspace. I'm such a geek.

Snow, like we used to get in Chicago, or hot, beach weather.

ANYTHING BUT RAIN !!! As we used to say in the diving industry. "No cash no splash"

Snow...not the wet cement type, but the lighter stuff. I don't even mind driving in it,...if in moderation.

Crisp clean 60 degree sunny days. Perfect for getting yard work done, or any kind of physical activity and it really just energizes you.

My second favorite is hurricanes! Im a Florida boy born and bred, hurricanes are as natural to us as snow to a northerner. We'd get a week out of school/work, go fishing, and beach bummin, and when the hurricane hit we'd have a party. Theres nothing like hearing and seeing the power of mother nature's fury while having a great time with good friends and close family.
