Hey Pat!

Don't go down to Denver! It's a mess. One of my kids is stuck there for the night, with friends.

Lol... Just passing through on my way to the springs. Because of the lack of parking I do not stop in Colorado at all. Get in and get out. If I have to I take e470. Should get down there, grab a loaded trailer and get back to at least Cheyenne if not further.

Ah. Gotcha.

Hwy 105 is also an option, from Sedalia to Monument. It's the alternative route for I25, as I'm sure you know.

Understand the lack of parking.

I shut down in salt lake city until they reopen I-80. Just came from Sacramento CA. On my way to La Salle IL.

Y'all stay safe out there and warm

I'm going to Salt Lake, uh, whenever.

How's the weather?

Have you been on Parley's Canyon today?

No, I haven't been to Parleys mountain today. I heard I-80 was shut down so I went straight to salt lake and shut down. I didn't even try to go farther. So far the weather is holding up where I'm at. Not snowing yet but looks like it could.

For now, no one's going to get very far on 80. The only trucks getting even part way through are those starting at Rock Springs, going West, and carrying essential supplies like fuel and food.

Its fine here..stopped snowing yesterday but the wind sucks. Honestly I want to go back to sleep for another day lol. I hate the Cole and it makes me feel like a hibernating bear.

I'm not very heavy, and if it's still.windy I'll sit another day. I'm headed to SLC area too. But I don't care.

The pains of a company driver...every winter we get the loads lease/owner ops don't want. In a month I'll be back in Midwest and down south. Yay

Light to moderate snow in SLC at the moment - no closures. Utah chains for I-80 at parleys Canyon - 12K & under.

I-80 in WY still showing mostly closed - Wyoming DOT Closures Page. Primarily between Laramie & Rawlins (Elk Mountain).

Y'all stay safe & warm out there - if you don't have to move DON'T.

I ain't going nowhere. West bound finally opened this morning but chains in rock springs and black ice throughout. Even if I drove to the chain law sections I wouldn't have parking. Told dispatch and got "10/4 thanks be safe".

I have two weeks til I get my one year safe driving. Had an accident one month solo. I told my FM " WY is not screwing that up for me" lol

We just came across Wyoming from Cheyenne. Roads aren't too bad, seem to be doing a lousy job plowing a lot of places though.

Noone is chaining at Rock Springs, pretty sure trucks only have to chain on a level 2 here anyway. It is pure slush in that stretch though. We had no traction issues though.

Parley lifted the chain restriction as well.

We were gonna wait but T/A Cheyenne was gonna turn into The Shining if I had to sit there another day.
