Hello everyone I made it to Springfield, Mo today after a 4 hour drive turned into 7 and a half because or flooding but anyway I start the process of orientation tomorrow for transland. Haven't gotten to see the terminal yet but I did see quiet a few trucks of theirs and also have seen a ton of prime trucks. Will hopefully be able to see primes terminal before I leave. Everyone have a great night and drive safe

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Are you going to be working for Prime?

I have past the Transland terminal , forget where. Prime and Wil-Trans are at exit 82A. Good luck in your new endevor and congratulations. Yes, we had biblical storms this weekend. I was trapped in my hotel all day Saturday because of it.

Wil-Trans:

Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.

Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.

Ty F. No I'm going to be working for transland out of Springfield. Much smaller company then prime. Big Scott thank you for the kind words. I leave in Missouri south of st Louis about 45 minutes and was worried I wouldn't be able to make it down this weekend and would have to reschuelde. I will have a company car while I'm at orientation since my brother drove me down instead of taking the dreaded dog lol. So I'm sure I will be able to go explore a little bit

I agree Patrick lol. That was the original plan but with all the flooding and major highways being closed I figured it would be best to take a smaller vehicle then have to worry if the bus would get stuck somewhere I be late
