Dear Friends on TT:

This might sound kind of dumb but here goes: I want to see what my driving record looks like. I am applying to Swift and I am signed up to start in later half of May 2017 (student driver). However, I just remembered when I first moved to Plainview, TX (like the first day) I was pulled over by a PPD and I think it was a warning . . . . !?!

I don't want to be telling a un-truth to Swift. I am sure, I think it was not a ticket as I do not remember any payout (I changed lanes without signaling).

Any way to do this?

Thanks.

Not a weird request at all. Just go down to the DMV and pull a copy of your driving record. I just did it a couple weeks ago here in Colorado--costs $9 here and they print it out right away for you.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

My trucking school required us to get one when we started.

Just ask for your ten year MVR at the DMV. I think ours (in SC) was $5-$6 but the cost varies per state, I'm sure.

Easy and not a request that they don't hear all the time.

An MVR is a report of your driving history, as reported from your state Department of Motor Vehicles. Information on this report may include Drivers License information, point history, violations, convictions, and license status on your driving record.

You can always go to this web site especially if you are away from home to get your driving record. They charge $13.00 for most state. https://www.sambasafety.com/

Already done. Got it. A complete record. $22.00 and I was sent to the local library and charged on my credit card. Speedily printed up. What I was worried about is not there. No violations or infractions or accidents, etc., etc. I am lucky.

I remember being in court when I was a teenager and a fellow was up in front of the judge. He was explaining why he should not have to pay, and the extenuating circumstances, etc. The judge looked at him and said something like this, "Sir, if a police officer rode around with any of us we would all have a ticket, at least one. Consider yourself lucky".

I consider myself lucky . . . and blessed. Amen.

ps. Thanks for the help, Pianoman.
