"No receipt" might be covered by bank statements. How did you pay? Debit? Look at your bank account statements. Credit card? Check those bills. These are always online, even if you have to ask for older copies.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Being as frustrated as I was, I've already contacted a disputing agency. As everyone knows, no one wants this issue while OTR...

Yeah, I figure its probably a clerical error. My brother and I have social security numbers that are only two digits different. The USPS mixed up one of our debts and billed him for my charge!! He wasn't happy.

I could see how if they use account numbers or such that things happen.

Call C1 and ask if they have a copy of the receipt. Tell them you need it for tax purposes.

The tuition reimbursement is all I can think of. You were probably to get reimbursed if you stayed X amount of time. If you got the reimbursement but then quit, perhaps that is the issue.

I fight even my legit bills lol. If they don't answer the credit bureau it gets eliminated.

Also, don't deal with the collection agency. Contact Roehl. They sold the debt so they already got paid and won't care. They'll probably explained what happened.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I began my trucking career with Roehl on 6 October 2015. I drove for them for nearly 6 months before my son and I teamed together with Covenant which lasted an additional 6 months b4 hiring on with Empire in which I have been there for the past year. Just now I received a phone call from a debt collector saying I owed them aprox. $2500.00 for formal training. Understand I paid for my CDL out of pocket... I asked them to produce a contract with my signature. They did produce the contract but the signature looked nothing like my signature. They now have reported this to a credit agency and now have damaged my otherwise impeccable credit rating.... I need some advice for which way to go from here. All replies welcome...

Three different employers... during your first year in the industry... it's not surprising you can't remember/wasn't able to keep track of everything.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
