First week of swift driving academy complete. I have GREAT room mates who are willing to study and we are going to be working on our pre trip this weekend. We are using a toy truck I bought and they love the idea and it is helping us a lot ! Now I need to learn the pre trip and get my shifting down ( which we will learn this coming week) class of 17 is now 9. I can’t wait to deliver my first load ! Hope the next 2 weeks comes easy

Good for you Bryan. Excellent job on passing the map test.

The next two weeks will be fast and furious. Get your rest.

Focus on the pre-trip inspection , especially the in-cab. Eat it, sleep it and drink it.

Good luck!

Pre-trip Inspection:

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.

Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.

Congrats Bryan Q.! Thank you for mentioning the toy truck idea. Don't remember who suggested it before but I was very cynical when they listed it as a training tool. I think it was either Errol or Old School. I'll take my serving of crow now! Will definitely include it in my duffle! Continued success!

Oooo.... That makes a lot of sense. I'm going to have to buy a you truck. Maybe 4 or 5. My son will grab 1 or 2 and I'll probably leave 1 or 2 lying around which means they belong to the dogs lol
