Hey Rainy D, You always have such good advice to give to the women out here. Even though I am not a woman I really enjoy your comments as they are so on target and from the heart. What part of NJ are you from? I grew up in Trenton area and lived in Wrightstown and Mt. Holly before moving with my wife and children to Florida. I just wanted to ring in. Have a great July 4.

Ok so Roehl only has flatbed in my area. Can I really do this physically?

Since Donna asked this question, i posted on the general discussion board asking the physical requirements. Altbough Donna saw it there, im linking to that thread for any future readers.

Is the physical test different for reefer?

The agility tests usually have you lift a 100 pound tarp.

Ask Old School or Turtle on the General discussions section about the physicalities. Im not surw as i do reefer. i have met many many FB women, even tiny ones.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

Good luck, Donna! Are you going to be writing a CDL training diary?

  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.

I know I didn’t want to change from Roehl but they didn’t seem to care about what I wanted. Sort of felt they were trying to push it on me. I don’t care to be pushed around much. I applied to prime around 1 last night and they were on que she had me a bus ticket before 5 this afternoon. When I make up my mind am READY. Rainy T we have to make time somewhere a long the road to stop and get us a good fat steak. Now Kim T. we waiting on you and don’t worry about getting a CLP cause prime wants you to get it with them so now I got to get a second one. Yes I will try to post a long cause I have really enjoyed reading everyone else’s. Yes I’m a southerner can’t you hear it even in my writing. I’ve got tons to get done before Saturday morning at 10:30 am when I begin my 24 hour adventure to Missouri and becoming a frigging trucker....

CLP:

Commercial Learner's Permit

Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.
