Just got back from OK. Flew out to see my brother for his birthday. Saw a ton of trucks, truck dealerships, terminals, trucks haulin trucks, nothing like it here in MA. So far as I've seen)

Keep meaning to give Millis a call, keep pussing out, worried about fkin up what I already have, worried about screwing up the people who count on me.

Hard to make the move.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

[I am] worried about fkin up what I already have, worried about screwing up the people who count on me.

To put it straight to you, if you have made bad decisions in the past, you'll have to be mature enough and learn to respect what you already have plus those who count on you.

Those who depend on you include your family, your boss(es), your customers (as a trucker, these are the shippers and receivers) and even some people you never met but they need you to get your job done.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Pupil2Prodigy, because you are new here, the comical nature of Big Scott's response was probably completely missed by you, and many others here. Big Scott hung around in this forum with us for FOUR YEARS before making his decision!

I don't think he meant it to be funny, but it sure got a big laugh out of me. smile.gif
