Thanks.
Day 2:
We did pretests on General knowledge and Combos today. Started air brakes this afternoon and will finish tomorrow. It is surprising on how much you forget in 8 years. Though the High Road CDL Training Program, has helped a lot. California's tests are a little different, but many of the questions are the same. Will continue the diary tomorrow. Kinda cool to do a diary for this training.

If you are a technology guy, try downloading the CDL prep app on your phone and study those practice tests. That along with the study material they have given you will help a great deal.
The app has a steering wheel icon. I used that app and it really helped me out.
Hope this helps! Good luck!!

So, started school today! My class takes the permit test on Friday. I have been studying the High Road CDL Training Program, Truck Driver's Career Guide,
, so It should help with the class and the tests. I have learned a lot here at TT, so thanks Brett and all who have been so helpful to me returning to the trucking life I missed for the last 8 years (going on 9.) We had a lot of paperwork to fill out today and still was able to get in some lessons. I tell you my instructor missed his calling as a comedian. But his knowledge and his insightful side notes has given me a new birth about trying to get the new rules and regs down.
Well, been a long day, going to shower and hit the hay.
Pre-trip Inspection:

Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.
