I finally got my money back into my account but they are still seeing if they can prove it. But still not a debit card. I had to pay bills with a check which I haven't done in years. I had to call ATT yesterday to tell them that they couldn't take there money out but I would pay by check. But seeing I have been paperless for 2 years I didn't have a address to send the check to . He let me do it over the phone. I hope I haven't opened up another can of worms. I just don't know why they don't ask for I.D. when making purchases. When I go places and they ask me for my I.D. I always thank them for asking.

Sorry to hear that it's not 100% resolved but so glad you got your money back! Hopefully this will all be in the past very soon. I agree about the ID thing - they've gotten VERY lax in regard to this! All the best =)
You should get a credit card to use in stores and online, if you can. Much more protection than a debit card.
Even a prepaid would help, and just put a couple hundred on it at a time, to limit your loss.
I'll look into that Grumpy.
